Their expertise includes conducting market studies for hotels, resorts, convention centers, and unique hospitality projects. 2024 State of Security – Public Safety Initiative

The Houston Lodging Association of Greater Houston (HLAGH) invites you to the 2024 State of Security meeting on Wednesday, July 17th. This event will feature an impressive lineup of speakers from the Houston Police Department, who are highly trained and qualified to address the key security issues affecting our industry

The agenda includes:

  • Sergeant Tracy Hicks from the Auto Theft Crime Task Force will discuss the recent surge in hotel and auto thefts and outline the new measures being adopted to reduce burglaries and break-ins.
  • Officer Loc Tram from Community Affairs will share insights on crisis intervention and recovery, discussing effective strategies for crisis response and the latest public safety initiatives.
  • Jaime Giraldo, Director of Public Safety with the Midtown Management District, will provide guidance on managing the presence of homeless individuals in hotels and restaurants.
